The importance of volunteerism and giving back to my community has been important throughout my life. I have been fortunate to bring my talents to non-profits by marketing, fund-raising, event production and other hands-on experience.

Junior League of Tucson – Volunteer, VP Sustainers (2015 – Present)

American Women’s Group in Paris – Event coordinator for 1st Private Fashion Show Fundraiser (2009)

UNICEF – Volunteered in primary schools to help children with crafts (2008 – 2009) 

St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Crime Victims Treatment Center – Event coordinator for 30th Anniversary Benefit at the end of the year (2006 – 2007)

Children of Bellevue – Webmaster (2006 – 2008)

Futures for Children – Mentor (2005 – 2008)

St. James of Long Beach – Webmaster (2005 – 2008) 

New York Junior League – Volunteer, chairperson and board member (1995 – 2002)

All-women volunteer organization trains volunteers to serve non-profits focused on domestic violence, health education to the at-risk community, life skills for families in transition, and cultural enrichment for school children

  • Board Member: Oversaw all press and public relations; Online initiatives; Advocacy
  • Chaired year-long effort culminating in trip to NY State capital to convince legislators on budget issue
  • Chaired New Media committee on initial website planning and development; Online outreach
  • Volunteered teaching life-skills to formerly homeless parents and art projects to their children

Nascent global organization comprised of technical, creative and entrepreneurial individuals dedicated to encouraging education and collaboration in the new technology industries

BarCampNYC2 – assisted with sponsorships for on and offline collaborative group’s semi-annual event (2006)

New York New Media Association – assisted with holiday events for NYC-based association for business professionals in the emerging technology industries (1998 – 2002)

New York Software Industry Association – assisted with holiday events for NYC-based association for business professionals in the emerging software, hardware and technology industries (1998 – 2002)

Webgrrls – assisted with holiday events for NYC-based association for women in technology (1997 – 2002)

Chamber Dance Project – assisted with benefit for new chamber music and classical dance company (2001)

New York Pops – co-chaired inaugural Musicians of Tomorrow committee’s spring benefit in Lincoln Center (1998)

Alley To Valley Rally ’97 – assisted with sponsorships and participated in nationwide cross-country road trip with six motorcyclists, testing then-current technology on the road (1997)

New York Cares – assisted with holiday events for NYC-based non-profit assisting New Yorkers in a variety of capacities; participated in many art projects for children and families (1992 – 1994)
